A Message from the Members of Ram Wools Yarn Co-op
We hope that everyone has been having an awesome summer! It's a busy time full of family gatherings, travel, gardening and soaking up the sun. As we head towards fall, we want to make sure that you haven't been missing our emails.

Back in June, we started a GoFundMe campaign to help rebuild Ram Wools. "What's a GoFundMe campaign?" People ask us this all the time. It's a type of fundraising called crowdsourcing. Just like an old fashioned barn building or a quilting bee, many people get together to contribute to something that we want to see happen.

Ever since Ram Wools began, almost 9 years ago, we haven't been in the position to get loans or financing from other sources, so the members have poured all of their resources, blood, sweat, tears and everything we owned into Ram Wools because we really believe in it. You have told us that you believe in us, too. Many of you have already contributed and it's really helped us get through this tough summer in our new location. We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We aren't out of the woods yet! We have raised $4,985 of our goal of $8,000. We need to reach our goal by the end of the month or Ram Wools will not make it. We have moved to a new location to help save the store, and that has helped a great deal. We have been working volunteer hours to help get the co-op on its feet and we are so close to being in the clear. One big push and we will be over the hill and on our way.

A contribution of $30.00 from 100 people is all that we would need. This will help us get restocked for fall so that we can carry on independently. Once the wheels are turning again, we will be able to continue the work in the community that so many organizations like Koats for Kids, Chase the Chill and Knitted Knockers depend on us to do. When Canada decided to take in 25,000 refugees from Syria, we were there, collecting goods and clothing to help them resettle. When people began to cross the border into our province on foot in the middle of winter, we decided to collect for them, too. Even though we risked being seen as making a political statement, we did it because it was the right thing to do.

Now we need a hand. Let's make this the best community based yarn store in the US and Canada!

Thank you so much.
