That was ever so interesting. I was surprised to hear that there is only one yarn store in a huge place like Winnipeg. I wish only the best for Ram Wools.

What a great video...Properly promotes one of my favourite independent stores in all of Canada. I noticed that one of the staff indicated that you'd like to pay down your debt. Had you folks thought of selling 'memberships' to the store, and providing a small discount to those of us who buy a membership? I for one would be happy to pay into a membership of say $25-50 if it gave me some 5% discount coupons to use, or to gift to others and start them on a love of knitting. Just a thought!

My norwegian mother, great and grandmother all had a hand in teaching me to knit, which I enjoyed until I became a too-busy adult to remember how much I loved it. Recently (now that I'm a proper Grannie) I stumbled upon a knitter (implies generous teacher) out this way; she formed a little group at a coffee house. She'd just got me nicely started when I happened upon your store!! I hardly get to Winnipeg, and only for necessities, so I found it extremely convenient! I spent all my savings in there (enjoying every minute of it) on linens and tuffy's. atlantics and selkirks. Now, I've lost my sock pattern and was just so delighted you provide the perfect recipe! Any neat shawl/wrap patterns you can share - I haven't a credit card, but I WILL get into your store again!?

Re: Jacqueline CV The model we use is called a worker co-op in which the members are the workers. There is another model which is called consumer co-ops (like Mountain Equipment Co-op or Red River Co-op). We thought it would be confusing if we offered consumers "membership" since membership usually also implies voting for how things are run. However we do offer a "stash card" for $25 which entitles the customer to 10% off all regular priced items for one full year!

Great yarn.
As mentioned by other knitters, this is a great yarn. One important fact is that it washes really well also. No pilling or fluffing, wash after wash.

great price if you don't mind plant fiber in your wool.
The Skater's waltz cardigan is my favorite sweater right now, I saw it and ordered two colors of yarn. After knitting the first one, I passed the other color on to a friend who likes felting - I spent about 20% of my knitting time removing sticks and prickly things from the yarn. But now that they are out, I enjoy my sweater! and the colors are absolutely gorgeous. And it was a well fitting, well designed pattern that I will knit again. PS my friend made me a beautiful bag from the other yarn.
